Summary
The Steamclad Minnowfish is a variant of the Minnowclad which adds a small steam engine to the hull of the ship. Steamclad Minnowfishes can only be purchased from Premium Merchant NPCs for 3 Minnowclad Ship Vouchers when the vouchers are on sale, similar to the Partyfish. Aside from these notable differences, there is little else to distinguish the Steamclad Minnowfish from the Minnowclad.
Trivia
The Steamclad Minnowfish, like the Minnowclad, can be made out of many different types of materials when purchased, such as the normal iron, but also gold, silver, copper, pursteel, or steel. Some variants are rarer than others, with gold being the rarest. The metal material is determined at random, but the wood will always be ironwood.
The Steamclad Minnowfish has 2 sister variants, the RIOT Minnow and the Minnowclad.
The Steamclad Minnowfish is one of 6 ships to feature a radio, along with the Super Steamfish, Partyfish, Minnowclad, RIOT Minnow, and Advanced Raider.
It is, besides the exception of other Minnowclad and Super Steamfish variants, one of the only ships which comes with cannons mounted at the moment of creation. These cannons, one Advanced and one Spotlight swivel, are also special due to being uncraftable.
Due to its versatile maneuverability, small size, and high health, the Steamclad Minnowfish can become a deadly tool for ship boarding when in the right hands.
