Info

Combat Role Short-Range Broadsides

Carronades are one of the three cannon types in Tradelands, with the others being Long Guns and Mortars. As with all cannons, they require round shots either in the gunner's inventory or in the ship's ammunition storage to fire (with the exception of port cannons, which do not require round shots to fire as of an update on September 29, 2020). Compared to Long Guns, they deal significantly more damage, but have less range. Larger cannons do more damage, but can only be mounted on ships that have the ability to mount cannons at or above their size.

The Corncade Carronade is a special, crate-exclusive carronade from 2015 which fires a large amount of green corn particles alongside a yellow projectile. Visually, it is made from Grimewood and Gold.

The Cupid’s Carronade (Not to be confused with its Long Gun counterpart or its Mortar counterpart) is a special, Le Bote promotional event carronade from 2015 which fires a large amount of heart particles out of the cannon alongside a pink projectile. Visually, it is made from Angelwood and an unknown pink metal.

Trivia

  • Despite being named the “Neptune Super-Carronade”, this cannon can also be placed on ships other than the Neptune, namely the Binglehopper and the Binglehopper Mk2, a roleplay-exclusive ship available to Burkeland.
  • Due to their short range, Carronades are uncommonly seen on ships, but they are still somewhat popular among traders as anti-boarding weaponry.
