A standard Poseidon Long Gun can be equipped if reliability and a fast turn speed is needed, though this is generally inadvisable compared to the three unique Neptune turrets. The Neptune Howitzer offers an extremely long range with high splash damage, allowing for long distance shots which can easily disarm ship broadsides and kill crewmembers, however it is lacking in raw damage.
