The Serpent is a level 8 ship capable of a variety of roles. Her junk-rigged sails allow her to sail close to the wind.
It's ability to sail rather quickly crosswind allows for easy access to highly profitable sailing routes that do not directly follow wind routes, with its sizable Cargo Capacity of ten provides a decent profit from every trade run. The Serpent is also fairly well-armed, carrying four Heavy Cannons on each side, making it well-equipped for combat if necessary. Boarding a Serpent may prove difficult for some players to get on, as it high and flat sides that can be accessed from the water by use of a ladder on the side of the hull.
Serpents struggle with poor maneuverability and a slow turn speed, thus they may have trouble fighting smaller, more maneuverable foes. It's distinctive and large sails also makes her an easy target.
