Shipwright says... The Astraeus's massive guns will make any enemy think twice before attacking.

The Astraeus is a level 10 ship with a fairly high cargo capacity, formidable armament, and a strong hull. It's size and low speed make it an easy target for enemies, however, if not sufficiently manned. The Astraeus' main usage in combat is its two mortars, you can often see the ship hanging back and raining mortar fire down on the opponents, much like the Phoenix. With its broadside, the Astraeus can shred most ships that come its way, the only thing that hinders the ship is the turning rate of the vessel. The slowness allows the ship to be easily stern and bow-locked, although stern-locking isn't much of a viable option thanks to the stern guns.

Trivia

• Similar to the Atlas and Prometheus, the Astraeus has a captain's quarters with a large Map inside.

• Players often shorten the name of the Astraeus to "Astra."

• The Astra in combat is mostly overshadowed by the Prometheus
• As of April 20th, 2021, the Astraeus is no longer craftable in the Shipwright.
