Shipwright says... The Ptarmigan is a combat-modified version of the Grouse, with strengthened hull and added cannons. Available for a limited time.
The Ptarmigan is the combat counterpart of the Grouse trading ship. The armament of this ship consists of 6 Heavy Cannon slots, 4 Medium Cannon Slots, and 2 Heavy Cannons located at the stern of the ship.
It's great armament and hull strength make up for it's massive loss of cargo capacity compared to the Grouse. This all combined makes the Ptarmigan a decent ship for Piracy, because of it's relatively good speed and cargo capability, great for raiding slower trading ships like the Camel. The Ptarmigan can operate independently as a decent combat ship but can also function as effective support ship in fleets.
