Saltpeter is an uncommon resource obtained when mining on a non-spawn island (not including Harrisburg) using a silver, gold, or gem pickaxe. It can be used to craft Gunpowder, which is used in creating Flintlock Ammunition, Caplock Ammunition, and Swivel Ammunition.
