Sapphire is one of four basic gem materials. It is only obtainable via mining at a non-spawn island (not including Harrisburg) with a Gold or Gem Pickaxe.
Trivia
- A pickaxe made of Sapphire and Angelwood (Angelic Sapphire Pickaxe) can be used in nighttime thunderstorms to mine Electrosteel. Nighttime thunderstorms are noticeably darker than regular thunderstorms.
