Hallengard was a nation comprised of mercenaries, former pirates, and former citizens of the [[Verdantine Sovereignty]] who fled there following the [[Verner Expedition]]'s victory. It was originally a vassal of [[Nova Balreska]], but broke free not long after its creation. It was temporarily controlled by the New Purshovian Trading Company (NPTCo), which established a Governorship over the island for several months. The company eventually left the island and released control of Hallengard after the retirement of its Governor, BeccyTurner. Hallengard continued to operate under the leadership of a Hersir, who commanded both diplomacy and the navy, until October 2020, when its navy was disbanded and the faction was annexed by [[Nova Balreska]].
