Summary

The map is a GUI that shows a map of the players current region. A white arrow is centered on the player’s position and points the way they are facing based on character torso direction. The map can be opened by either pressing “M” or the “Map” button at the bottom of the screen in the button cluster.

Map Item

Prior to the April 24 2020 update, maps were tools that could simply be held by a player. They did not show the players position.

The General Merchant sold Maps for 100 doubloons, and a large map was for sale at Harrisburg for 5000 doubloons. The large map showed the newer islands, whilst the normal map only showed those present before 2019.

Old map items were changed to be housing furniture.
