Housing is a Game Mechanic were one can rent an in-game house and decorate it freely to their desire with furniture, weapons and accessories.

It can be found by interacting with the Landlord NPC at any spawnable island, or by renting a personal address, putting your house physically on an island of the Grand Isles from where it can be accessed. Your address will still be accessible through the Landlord too.

Regular Housing

Currently, the Landlord has 9 types of houses available by default. The purchase cost and taxation of these houses may vary depending on expansions and other add-ons selected. Purchase cost is one-time only. Take note that the Admiral's Quarters is exclusive to Roblox Premium users.

Taxation

Alongside the purchase cost of a house, every 7 days, an amount of rent has to be paid over the house in order to enter it. The weekly tax cost of your house may vary depending on upgrades and add-ons. 5 Loyalty Tokens can be spent to add 15,000 Doubloons to your tax reserve. When switching from a more expensive house to a cheaper house, the difference in purchase cost will be added to the tax reserve.

Estates

Physical addresses are located on spawn islands, the principle and taxation is the same as with regular housing, but the house will appear physically in game and it will be exclusively assigned to one player that owns the address. The player has to be present in the server otherwise the house contents will not load in and the door will be locked. An Estate can be accessed from the landlord or through it's front door. Take note that entering the house through the landlord will make the player unable to leave via the front door to the island the house is standing on, to prevent teleportation.

Currently, this mechanic is in it's beta stage, and only a select amount of players get to test it or the ones who bought them at the Burkeland Auction.
