Summary
The map is a GUI that shows the main Tradelands map (all islands excluding Burkeland) and the player’s position in the world. A white arrow is centered on the player’s position and points the way they are facing (based on character torso direction, not camera direction). The map can be opened by either pressing “M” or the “Map” button at the bottom of the screen in the button cluster.
Trivia
Maps were originally equipment, they were held by a player and did not show position.
The General Merchant sold Maps for 100 doubloons, and a large map was for sale at Harrisburg for 5000 doubloons, the large map resembles the current map while the normal map only showed 7 of the 11 named islands (excluding Burkeland).
Old map items were changed into map housing items.
