Events

Events are special occassions when the Developers add in earnable items, titles and ships for a limited time to the game or are events hosted by them such as tournaments and competitions. Events very a lot from each other, depending on what they are, for they can be for the whole community, or groups like pirate crews and navies. Some require access to the official tradelands discord, while others can be done by any player who plays the game.

Crates

Crates are purchasable during big updates or other events. They contain items made out of special materials or unique ones, only found in that specific crate. There are two types of crates, one is the cannon crate, which contains swivels, cannons and mortars made of materials that cannot be obtained regularly. The other type is the Mystery Crate, these crates change their special items which each generally, but craftable weapons, and a few crate only weapons can be found in all of them, non-weapon items include figureheads, accessories and furniture. The community often refers to these items as "Glowies".

Tournaments

Competitions held by the Developers happen time to time in the community, these include the normal combat tournament, but most of the time they are not just that, but focus on the skills and ablilities of competing players. With things such as paddling and creating artwork of the game, even having things such as playing the Royal Game of Ur against each other and more examples. Two events that define this type of event are the Freeport Games and the Burkeland Royal Games, that navies and crews alike participate to earn trophies and bring back gold for their faction or group.

Auctions

The Wealthiest Players are often invited or allowed into bidding contests in the form of auctions, where they bid on unique, one copy items and special furniture and ships from NPC factions. The auctions often reveal lore and locations within that faction's influence. If you wish to enter one of these auctions yourself, you will need 1.000.000 Doubloons and to be in the official discord server of Tradelands.

Holidays

The Developers often celebrate holidays with the community trough unique events, competitions and giving out of free items or releasing a special item for Robux for the duration of it.

List of all the specific holidays and how they have been celebrated trough out the years; Valentine's Day, Halloween, Christmas

Special Events

Some events are more unique then others, these events are the ones that normally give a more special prize to the winners or ones who completed them, or were just for fun and laughs. Events like this include rebuilding the Nova Balreskan Fort, building a bridge across the map with ships, assembling an ancient runic sword or playing an enite different game and many more.
