The '''Blackwind Pirates''' are a conglomeration of rogue pirates and organized pirate crews whose sole goal is to make money. The faction has a Pirate King, who grants his or her blessing to crews for their participation in battles or in events such as the Freeport Games. Additionally, each of the Captains of verified crews have a presence on the Captain's Table, where the leading figures from the various crews that compose Blackwind meet and discuss.
The '''Blackwind Pirates''' are a conglomeration of rogue pirates and organized pirate crews whose sole goal is to make money. Official pirate crews are each headed by a single Captain who is able to be voted onto the Pirate Council by the pre-existing crews, where once voted on they are able to discuss with other crews the various going-ons within the faction. The Pirate King is the leader of the Pirate Council and the faction, selected through battle royale organized by the Council. Crews which are not allowed onto the Council are deemed Outcasts, where they fly grey flags rather than the black flags of crews on the Table, and are able to invade the Cove in an attempt to claim Pirate King for themselves.
Pirate crews which conquer the island of Fort Verner are able to choose whether to claim the island for Blackwind or choose to reform Hallengard. Hallengard acts as a separate faction from Blackwind in roleplay, and thus crews which do so abandon their position on the Pirate Council. If Fort Verner is successfully invaded and conquered by a navy or another crew, the previous crew returns to Blackwind and must be voted on by the Council again.
