The Taipan is one of the fastest ships in the game, with an impressive Speed 9 combined with its junk sails allowing for extremely quick travel both downwind and crosswind, and its cargo capacity of 6 makes it a fantastic ship for pirates. However, mediocre broadside of only 2 Light Cannons makes it ineffective in naval battles, making it most effective for boarding, transport, or trading.
The Taipan is potentially the fastest ship in the game in favorable wind conditions. Its small size and impressive maneuverability makes it a favorite for boarding, or for speed personal transport.
