Consumable Buffs
Consumable Buffs include items such as Hardtack, Blue Hardtack, Chocolate, Salt Water, Lime Juice (formerly Balreskan Brew), and Protein Shakes. These items can be "consumed" by a player to give certain "advantages" in combat, though some of them come with a trade-off.

Hardtack is found at General Merchant NPCs. It costs 50 doubloons for 10, and is consumed to restore about 15-20% of one's health. However, it requires being out of water and a large amount of stamina to eat.
Blue Hardtack is a special form of hardtack which is sometimes available for purchase at the elusive NPC merchant known as "Brek Brekerson". It restores health like regular hardtack, but distorts one's vision by coloring it blue.
Chocolate is a special consumable which was only previously sold at an NPC for doubloons in February of 2017. It restores less health than Hardtack, but gives a buff known as "Sugar Rush" which increases stamina for a short period of time.
Salt Water is sold at the Sword and Star Tavern at Nova Balreska. It provides a buff known as "Brine" which reduces HP but increases stamina for a short period of time.
Lime Juice is sold at the Sword and Star Tavern at Nova Balreska. It provides a buff known as "Lime Juice" which increases HP but reduces stamina for a short period of time.
Protein Shakes are sold at the Sword and Star Tavern at Nova Balreska. They provide a buff known as "Shake" which drastically reduces HP but drastically increases stamina for a short period of time, making them a more potent form of Salt Water.
