The Prometheus is a level 10 warship with heavy armament, a strong hull, and a steam engine. While its size and speed make it an easy target, its large broadside and high health often result in the Prometheus decimating any enemy unfortunate to be caught in its broadside. The Prometheus fits 2 light mortars on its bow often used to siege an enemy from a distance, stern cannons to protect its aft, and an engine allowing it to traverse upwind with ease. However, one of the largest downfalls of the Prometheus is its extremely slow turn speed, allowing faster ships to maneuver into blind spots and fleets to maneuver around it to punish its weaker stern and bow protection.

Trivia

  • The strong armament, bolstered upwind mobility, and imposing size of the Prometheus makes it a formidable opponent in battle.
  • The Prometheus is part of a ship family with the Atlas and Astraeus, thus sharing many features.
  • The Prometheus originally had only its three lower-deck size heavy cannons as its broadside armament, making it a fairly weak combat ship. With the addition of the medium cannons, it is a force to be reckoned with.
  • The Prometheus was removed from the shipwright on the 20 April 2021 update, but was reintroduced in the 22 April 2022 update with an increased build cost.
