Shipwright says... The Otter's high sides protect gunners from incoming cannon-fire.The Otter is a combat ship equipped with two Light Mortars or Cannons on the bow and four Heavy cannons on each side. Protected by the raised sides, gunners are kept mostly safe from enemy cannon shots, though do keep in mind they offer no protection from mortar shots from above.
Trivia
- The Phoenix can be considered a direct upgrade of the Otter, possessing a reinforced hull alongside a steam engine.
- The mortars on the bow of the ship can be replaced with light cannons.
