The '''Fox''' is a common trading ship, popularized by its above average cargo capacity and steam engine. The Fox is a sidegrade of the [[Beaver]], providing a steam engine at the cost of a reduced cargo capacity. Mostly used for trading, it is great for outrunning pirates by going upwind with the steam engine to escape, also proving to be a versatile combat ship with a relatively fast turn speed.

 

In all respects spare for build cost, the Fox is an upgraded [[Beaver]] which provides the use of both a Size 6 Mortar and steam engine. The ability to go upwind with the engine—alongside the longer-range capability of the Mortar—make the fox an excellent trade ship that can still be used in combat to great effect.
