Shipwright says... The Marauder packs both speed and firepower. The ideal ship for a pirate.The Marauder is a level ? ship capable of running down and gunning down most mercantile vessels. She is extremely maneuverable for her size. Despite these advantages, however, she is a relatively fragile ship.
These ships are unlikely to fare well against a flotilla of combat-capable ships due to their weak Hull Strength. Marauders are best used against lone ships or defenseless traders, where her speed and maneuverability allow her to dodge most counterattacks.
Her lateen rigging make her an exceptionally fast ship when going upwind, at least compared to other ships of compatible size.
