When you are in a crew, all crew members will get doubloons as well as experience from sold cargo, but the revenue and experience is reduced slightly for each person. The Captain of the crew will get the most doubloons from cargo that is sold. It is generally recommended that you cargo trade in a crew to better fend of attacking pirates.

Having a crew with a number of members greater than the amount of broadside cannons on the side of the ship will cause the crew to earn less doubloons from sold cargo.

Cargo can be taken from enemy factions' cargo hold on their ships. Players on the [[Blackwind Pirates]] faction will receive extra doubloons than normal when selling stolen cargo.
