The skills list in the Character menu.

Skills are abilities that players train and level up through general gameplay.. All skills start at level 0 and are levelled up by performing actions relevant to each skill, eventually capping at level 10. Achieving high levels in skills will grant players additional abilities in that skill such as more drops, new craftable items, or increased stamina.

There are 12 total skills that players can train in Tradelands which are broadly separated into three categories; combat, gathering and artisan.

Combat Skills

Skill Levelling Method Benefit
Gunnery Firing cannons and hitting enemy ships Increased cannon reload speed
Marksmanship Dealing damage to other players by shooting them with ranged weapons Decreased initial crosshair inaccuracy spread while aiming
Swordsmanship Hitting enemy players with melee weapons Increased stamina
Brawling Punching enemy players with bare fists Greatly increased stamina
Tactics Completing combat missions Unlock higher level combat missions

Gathering Skills

Skill Description Benefit
Mining Used to obtain Metals from ore nodes. Increased chance of rare ores and higher drop multipliers, increased stamina
Timber-Felling Used to obtain Woods from trees. Increased chance of rare woods and higher drop multipliers, increased stamina
Fishing Used to obtain Fish from the ocean. Able to find rarer, larger fish

Artisan Skills

Skill Description
Crafting General tool, weapon and item crafting
Carpentry Furniture crafting
Blacksmithing Custom weapon and some furniture crafting
Candle Making Crafting various types of candles
