The Retaliator is a fast, large-crew combat ship which excels at putting out mass amounts of fire at long ranges. However, its slow turn rate can cripple it in a close fight.

The Retaliator is a fast, large-crew combat ship which excels at putting out mass amounts of fire at long ranges. However, its slow turn rate can cripple it in a close fight. The best user for one is where you get into a "line battle" where two ships go broadside to broadside which gives the Retaliator an advantage with the bigger broadside compared to most ships. Outside of that though, the Retaliator is rarely seen in comabat.
